SRA Reading Laboratory is a personalized reading practice program that was designed in Florida by Dr. Don H. Parker in 1950. It is also one of the most trusted names in reading. It’s been an effective tool used in developing comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, word analysis, and study skills.
To help aid and improve reading comprehension skills, we paired the SRA Reading Program with other effective reading strategies such as:
- Using Prior Knowledge
- Predicting
- Making Inferences
- Decoding
- Using Context Clues
- Answering Comprehension Questions
- Identifying the Main Idea and supporting details
- Summarizing
- Retelling
- Visualizing
